Lucky Cat

This week has been quite a challenge for myself and my family.  Firstly we took our cat Lucky to the veterinarian to continue her journey to heaven.  And yes, I believe heaven has a special place for our fuzzy critters.  Lucky was 10 1/2 years old, not that old for a cat.  Her liver was failing.  I learned that if you have a pet cat and they start to reduce their eating, you need to get them to the vet asap.  Lucky was our rescue kitty.  Andrew found her in a farm field in our development.  She was tiny and fit into the palm of our hands.  Took her to the vet to make sure she didn't have any illnesses.  She was loved by the three of us.  Then there were the ferrets.   She would try to steal their food from inside their cage.  Gizmo(ferret) was smart and would move the bowl away from her.  She played WWF kitty with cricket.  She'd wrap her paws around Crickets neck and sway her head back and forth.  Quite the site.  She loved to smack the dogs tails as they swished by her.  We rescued our Poochon Jack, however Lucky and Jack had a love/hate relationship.  He was afraid of her but would chase her.  However when she guarded her basement.  He was afraid to pass by her.  It was an interesting relationship.  She was on prozac a few years ago.  We were in and out of the house visiting hubby's parents, his uncle and his sister.  Lucky stressed out and was going outside of the cat box.  The vet ruled out physical problems.  He prescribed prozac for a month, we kept her in a kennel in the kitchen with her litter box, food, etc.  After a month, she used her litterbox again.   Lucky was a joy as our cat, her antics, her "talking" to me every morning.  We shall miss her.

First Week of December

Wow!  I cannot believe we have 20 more days to prepare for the Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.  My outside lights are up, now I prepare the inside of my home for his Birth as well.  I am also preparing my heart to be open to Him and allow Jesus fully into my heart.  This time of year we all focus on doing good things for others.  Hopefully it is a new motivation to start the year over and renew our faith and continue His awesome works every day of the year!~

Challenge # 1

Whew, I made the deadline with my doorhanger.  I liked how it turned out.  Just in time for St Nicholas day.

C4CC1-Who loves Cocoa? Challenge

I love Cocoa the mouse from Sweet N Sassy Stamps!  What a cutie!~  I created this door hanger for the challenge.  I used SEI Christmas papers and SEI ribbon and accents.  (I couldn't find a packet of cocoa!~)  This will make a cute little treat for a special person.
